Institution's Mission
The Barvinok Children's and Youth Center, of the Gaia Nucleus of the Association of Ukrainians in Portugal, has the mission of promoting Ukrainian education, language, culture and traditions among children and young people living in Portugal, strengthening their cultural identity and ties with their roots.<brThrough educational, cultural and recreational activities, we seek to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where children can learn the Ukrainian language, learn about the history and traditions of their people, develop citizenship values and build friendships in an environment of respect and cooperation.<brThe Centre also aims to support the integration of children and families into Portuguese society, promoting knowledge of the Portuguese language and culture, intercultural dialogue, civic participation and harmonious coexistence between different communities.<brThe Center is open to all children and young people interested in learning about Ukrainian culture, contributing to the appreciation of cultural diversity, social inclusion and mutual respect.
