Institution's Mission
<brMy name is Celina Martins, I am the coordinator of the Special Education department of the S. Lourenço School Group. In this group we have three Specialized and Therapeutic Support Schools, where we work daily with dozens of children and young people with various pathologies, most of whom are children with autism spectrum disorder.<brOur main objectives are to promote the autonomy, socialization and interaction of these children through practical and meaningful activities. In the Valencia of the Carvalhal School, we were given a room where 20 children will have specialized support, 16 of whom have Autism Spectrum Disorder. This room will have several areas: daily activities, learning area, individual work, computer, leisure... It turns out that the room needs to be painted white and there are two built-in cabinets that need to be sanded and varnished.
