Institution's Mission
Madrugada Association offers end of life palliative care and support to patients and their families in a holistic way. Emotional, spiritual and practical support is essential for the patient and family during this time. There is no charge for Madrugada services and assistance is provided on a confidential basis. Based in the Algarve, our dedicated Support Centre in Luz, Lagos provides information and advice in a friendly and empathetic way to help patients and their loved ones throughout their journey. Our professional team of nurses and care assistants offer a unique hospice at home service for patients who wish to remain in their own home at the end of their life. Because you care, we can - It is thanks to a wonderful team of volunteers and supporters who give their time, expertise and energy to raise funds through our retail shops and fundraising initiatives that Madrugada is able to provide its services, free of charge.
